How did I get here?

2018

August of 2018, I left my home country and decided to study abroad. My creative brain could not deal with microbiology and biochemistry (Biology major) anymore, so after trying to find my purpose, graphic design found me. The passion for design was hiding behind all the pressure and the “wanting” to be a “successful” person. It’s funny thinking about it because I remember that I loved to draw, customize, and even create my own clothes. Design is in my blood. Let me get back on track here. So, I decide to pursue a Graphic Design major and discover this crazy world. Along with schoolwork I was doing some freelancing on social media, designing invitations – all that I could explore.

2019-2021

Due to the massive changes everywhere and for everyone. I had to start thinking about a specific niche. Something to get my brain working properly and not thinking about the family that was in the other side of the planet.

I studied most of the graphic design areas and how its market was and ended up fascinated about the idea of designing the visual identity of a brand. I took some introductory marketing classes to understand how to identify the target audience approaches and how to communicate with different personas. I also decided to double major in web development and enter the coding world – which I love.

2022 – NOW

During school I thought that designing logos were something boring and stiff, but now I love it. Just the thought of designing the complete visual identity of a brand makes my creative brain fill with joy (and start creating). I started doing some pro bono work so I could learn more about this niche and how the clients were.

And the best thing of my life happened. June 2022, I found out that I was pregnant. It totally changed everything. I went back to school to study business and dive into the “branding” world.
